Christina Deiorio Discusses Devastating Injury, Inspiring Recovery in Boston Globe Article

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College Women's Basketball player, Christina Deiorio, came into the 2014-15 season as a senior with high hopes for the year.  As any athlete would, she stepped onto the court on October 15 for the first day of practice ready to play.  Unfortunately, after falling during a routine layup, she tore her ACL, as well as the MCL and meniscus in her right knee.

Deiorio, a 5-foot-8 guard from Stoughton, underwent surgery a month later, ending her season.  She graduated in May with her degree in education but returned to Curry this past fall to work on her master's in elementary and special education.  Since losing a year of eligibility her senior year, she is now making a strong comeback this winter.
