MILTON, Mass. – The University of New England defeated Curry College, 86-45, in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) women’s basketball action Tuesday night in Milton. With the win, the Nor’easters improved to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in the TCCC. The Colonels fell to 8-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Junior guard Kelley Paradis (Newport, ME) led UNE with a game-high 19 points. Junior guard Kari Pelletier (South Paris, ME) added 17 and senior guard Carrie Bunnell (Barnet, VT) chipped in with 14. Sophomore forward Beth Suggs led the Nor’easters on the glass with a game-high 11 boards.

Curry was led by sophomore forward Julia Scrubb (Stowe, VT) with 10 points. Senior guard Joneiha Veiga (Brockton, MA) had a team-high eight rebounds.

The Colonels resume play this Thursday night, hosting Johnson & Wales in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
