WBB Selected Eighth in TCCC Pre-Season Coaches Poll

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's basketball team has been selected to finish eighth in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) for the upcoming 2009-2010 season, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head women’s basketball coaches.

Endicott College (23-6, 12-1 TCCC) received six of the 14 first-place votes in the 2009-10 TCCC preseason poll. Colby-Sawyer College was selected to finish second while receiving four first place votes. The University of New England was tabbed to finish third while picking up three first place votes. The defending champions, Salve Regina University and Nichols College were picked to finish fourth and fifth, respectively. Teams received 14 points for every first place vote received, 13 points for second place votes, 12 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
