WBB Dominated By Conference Rival Gordon, 90-62

WENHAM, Mass. - Curry fell behind by 16 points after one half and never recovered, falling at conference rival Gordon College, 90-62, on Saturday afternoon in Wenham.

Sophomore guard Heather DeKleine led the way for the Scots, scoring 26 points. DeKleine also had nine assists and eight rebounds. Rebecca Carroll added her fifth-consecutive double-double as she finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Kim Levinsky continued her recent hot shooting with six 3-pointers, including five in the first half, finishing with 21 points.

The game was never in doubt as Gordon never trailed. The Scots jumped out to an early 10-2 lead in the game's first four minutes and never looked back, taking a 42-26 lead into the halftime break. 

Curry drew within 12 early in the second half, but was unable to get the deficit below double digits. Kayla Pacheco came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points to go along with eight rebounds.

Freshman Hailey Rafferty led Curry with 12 points, while junior Danyel Cousins and freshman Carolyn Houston chipped in 10 points apiece. Rafferty also led the Colonels with seven rebounds.

Gordon moves to 9-8 overall and now has a 2-3 conference record.  With the loss Curry falls to 6-10 and 1-4 in conference play.  Gordon will continue conference play on Thursday when it hosts New England College at 6:00 p.m.  Curry travels to face Lasell Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m.
