2013 All-CCC Men’s Soccer Teams Announced

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Student-athletes from all 10 member institutions in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) were represented on the 2013 All-CCC Men's Soccer Team. In addition to the all-conference team, six major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award winner were also selected.

Roger Williams University senior Trevor Hoxsie and Gordon College senior Andrew Vandervoort share CCC Offensive Player of the Year recognition. This is the second time that both of these athletes have been selected for this award, as Hoxsie was honored in 2012 and Vandervoort was honored in 2011. Western New England University senior Kevin Parma was chosen as the CCC Defensive Player of the Year. Gordon freshman Caleb Cole was awarded CCC Rookie of the Year, while senior teammate Trevor Hinshaw was honored as the CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and the Fighting Scots' Derek Potteiger earned CCC Coach of the Year. Eastern Nazarene College was the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Voting for the All-CCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among CCC men's soccer coaches.

Joining Cole (midfielder), Hinshaw (back), Hoxsie (forward), Parma (back), and Vandervoort (forward) on the first team were forward Jake Bartnik (Western New England), midfielders Pat Gaumond (Nichols College) and Kellen Kasiguran (Gordon), backs Joseph Pate (Salve Regina University) and Rich Pomeroy (Roger Williams), and goalkeeper Aidan McParland (University of New England).

Second team selections included forwards Scott Palmerino (Nichols), James Sheldon (Roger Williams), Alex Wasilewski (Salve Regina), and Fred Willard (Nichols), midfielders Abdulla Al Khalifa (Endicott), Daniel Caruso (Roger Williams), Issa Demirgioglu (Salve Regina), and Ryan Williams (Western New England), backs Jed Magnusson (Endicott College), Phil Mitto (Nichols) and Kevin Payne (Gordon), and goalkeeper Domenick Villano (Western New England).

Receiving honorable mention were forwards Andrew Chenard (Salve Regina), Matt Cotnoir (Curry College), Edwin Demoya (Endicott), and Scott Hansen (Eastern Nazarene), midfielders Colten Corey (Gordon), Nick Gilman (Curry), and Michael Perry (Nichols), backs Christian Cole (Nichols), Michael Keenan Jr. (University of New England), Ryan Madden (Curry) and Sam Martins (Wentworth), and goalkeeper Nick Barber (Curry).
