Men's Lacrosse Tabbed Fourth in CCC Preseason Coaches' Poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Curry College men's lacrosse team has been selected fourth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

Western New England University is projected to finish first with 79 points and eight first-place votes. Endicott followed behind with 71 points and the final first-place vote. Roger Williams (63), Curry (52), and Salve Regina (39) round out the top five in that order.

Nichols (37), the University of New England (29), Wentworth (23), and Gordon (12) close out the poll, respectively.

The 2020 Curry men's lacrosse team returns three of its top five point recorders from last season, all of whom registered 33 or more points. The Colonels will look to returning leading scorer senior Harrison Fallon (Wrentham, Mass.), who tallied 52 points (27 goals, 25 assists), senior Andrew DeLeary (Wakefield, Mass.) (18 goals, 21 assists, 39 points), and senior Jake Stebbins (Colchester, Vt.) (22 goals, 11 assists, 33 points) to provide production on offense. DeLeary and Stebbins were All-CCC selections last season.

Sophomore Bobby Cannan (Bernardsville, N.J.) will be looked upon to provide leadership in goal as the Colonels look to improve upon a 9-9 overall record with a 4-4 mark in the CCC in 2019, which earned them the No. 4 seed in the CCC Tournament.

Curry opens the 2020 campaign on Saturday, February 29 at Norwich University at 1:00 p.m.
