SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior Devin Newell (Medford, Mass.) of the Curry College men's lacrosse team has been recognized as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Newell helped carry Curry to a pair of CCC wins this week with an eight-point showing against the University of New England and another four-point performance against Nichols. Newell's three-goal run in the second quarter against Nichols helped ignite a come-from-behind win and leads the Curry squad to a three-game win streak.

Newell and the Colonels (7-7 overall, 4-3 CCC) will next host Western New England University on Tuesday, April 16 at 4:00 for its final league game of the regular season.
