Eross Competes for Hungary in the World University Championships

Krasnoyarsk, Russia – Sophomore Zoltan Eross (Budapest, Hungary) competed for his native Hungarian national team at the 2019 World University Championships in Krasnoyarsk, Russia from March 1-8 2019. In 5 games vs. Japan, USA, Czech Republic, Russia, and Slovakia, Eros recorded 1 goal and 1 assist and was named an alternate captain for the team.

Eross was a favorite for the international media because of his performance as well as communication skills in both Hungarian and English.

The Hungarian team was made up of mostly professional hockey players from Europe. Eross was the only NCAA Division 3 player on the team, joining one other player from the NCAA who plays for the University of Maine Division I.

"It's a special opportunity to represent your country. Not many people ever get to do that. I am thrilled for Zolie that was able to have this experience," said Coach TJ Manastersky.
