Mauron, White Sign Professional Contracts

MILTON, Mass. – Seniors Lionel Mauron (Lausanne, Switzerland) and Zach White (Milford, Conn.) have both signed professional hockey contracts. Mauron is playing with the Jacksonville IceMen of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Jacksonville is an affiliate team with the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League.  White is playing with the Fayetteville Marksmen of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).

With the signings, Mauron and White make five active Curry College hockey alumni playing professional hockey. They join Tyler Vankleef '17 of the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL in England, Phil Kiss '18 of UTE in the Erste Liga in Hungary, and Jarret Kup '18 of the Macon Mayhem of the SPHL.

White, a Second Team All-CCC selection this season, finished the year with 39 points on 23 goals and 16 assists. He concluded his career with 87 points on 49 goals and 38 assists in 93 games. White ranked first in the CCC in goals, fifth in points, and fourth in plus-minus. Mauron finished his career with 95 points on 25 goals and 75 assists for 95 points in 90 games. He ended up with seven goals and 27 assists this season. The 27 assists place him third in the conference. 

White's first professional game is on Thursday, March 7 when he takes on former teammate, Jarret Kup '18 of the Macon Mayhem.
