Ten Student-Athletes Named to ECAC Northeast All-Academic Hockey Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the 2013-2014 ECAC Northeast Hockey All-Academic Team. A total of 96 student-athletes, representing all eight participating league institutions were honored. Nichols College placed 19 student-athletes on the All-Academic Team, the most honorees from any single institution.

Curry College senior Michael Lopez (Newton, Mass.), juniors Chris Mason (Monrovia, Calif.), Derek Mohney (Amherst, N.Y.), Jordan Reed (Ajax, Ont.) and Braeden Ruud (Vermillon, Alberta) and sophomores Ryan Gay (Nesconset, N.Y.), Shane Harrington (Mansfield, Mass.), Dominic Puntillo (Amherst, N.Y.), Brian White (Santa Ana, Calif.) and Charles White (Halifax, Nova Scotia) were all named to the team.

To be eligible for the ECAC Northeast Hockey All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have completed at least one full academic year at his current institution and possess a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
