SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Kevin Peete (Boston, Mass.) of the Curry College football team has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) Defensive Rookie of the Week, as announced as the conference office on Sunday morning.

Peete made six tackles in the Colonels' regular-season finale as they ended with a 34-13 setback at Salve Regina on Saturday. He converted six tackles (three solo and three assists). He wrapped up his freshman campaign with 28 total tackles and one pass breakup.

Peete and Curry closed out the season with a 2-8 overall record, including a 2-5 mark in league play.
