SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior running back Zach Levy (Bellingham, Mass.) and freshman linebacker Blake Schader (Assonet, Mass.) of the Curry College football team have been honored as the CCC Football Offensive Player of the Week and Defensive Rookie of the Week, respectively. The duo led the Colonels to a 34-31 victory over the University of New England on Saturday afternoon.

Levy earns the Offensive Player of the Week award after a career day on the ground. He rushed 13 times for a career-best 216 yards. He found the end zone three times including, including runs of 63 and 59 yards. He averaged 16.6 yards per carry and added an 18-yard run for his third score.

Schader recorded five tackles (four solo, one assisted) in the victory over UNE on Saturday. In addition to his five stops, he also recovered a fumble and broke up a pass.

Curry continues conference play this weekend when they travel to Husson on Saturday, October 12 for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
