Corvese's Record-Breaking Game Garners NEFC Co-Offensive Player of the Week Honors

MILTON, Mass- After a record-breaking performance, junior quarterback Alex Corvese (Cranston, R.I.) was named the NEFC Co-Offensive Player of the Week by the New England Football Conference. The quarterback shares the weekly honor with Coast Guard's Derek Victory, who had a record-breaking performance of his own.

Corvese had a career day on the field, going 42-63 for 519 yards and seven touchdowns in Curry's 56-54 loss at Coast Guard. The junior quarterback broke the Curry College record for most touchdown passes in a game, breaking the previous record of six set back in 2013 by Kevin Fruwirth. He also broke school records in completions (42) and yards (519).

Corvese and the Colonels return to the field Saturday when they host Maine Maritime at 1 p.m. at Walter M. Katz Field.
