MILTON, Mass.—Recent Curry College graduate David Griffin '18 (Hanover, Mass.) signed an independent league contract with the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League on March 25. Griffin will report for spring training on April 24.

Griffin tallied a 19-15 overall record on the mound in 46 appearances (33 starts). In his career, Griffin tossed 238.1 innings, 18 complete games, and registered 227 strikeouts. Additionally, he finished his collegiate career with a 2.08 ERA.

Griffin was a four-time All-Conference section, including three straight years being named to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) First Team 2016 through 2018.  

The Frontier League features 10 teams in two divisions stretching from Pennsylvania to Illinois. The Crushers will open the 2019 season on Thursday, May 9 when they take on the Florence Freedom.
