MILTON, Mass. - Curry College sophomore Brian Burke (Swampscott, Mass.) and freshman Mikayla Lambert (Blackstone, Mass.) have been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week and Softball Rookie of the Week, respectively, for the period ending on March 15.

Burke hurled nine shutout innings in a 2-1, 15-inning loss to Stockton. He scattered just four hits, while striking out seven and not walking a batter. He did not allow an opposing runner to advance past second base. Burke did not factor in the decision.

Lambert  was impressive at the plate and in the circle over eight games for the Colonels.  Offensively, Lambert batted .440 (11-for-25) with one double and four RBI, while hitting safely in six different games and posting four multiple-hit performances.  As a pitcher, Lambert went the distance in a 4-0 shutout of New Jersey City, scattering nine hits and striking out six. In two outings, Lambert was 1-0 with a 0.81 ERA.
