Women’s Cross Country Places 21st at Suffolk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – The Curry College women's cross country team ran six runners in the Suffolk Invitational on Saturday afternoon in their sixth race of the season. As a team, the Colonels amassed 619 points and finished in 21st place.

Leading the way for the Colonels was Haley Covillion (Bellow Falls, Vt.), who placed at 162 and turned in a time of 25:52. Right behind her in place 165 was Susan Hogan (Weymouth, Mass.), registering a 25:55 time. Karina Murcia (Culver City, Calif., 27:50) and Phoebe Katz (Providence, R.I., 27:57) finished in places 181 and 182, respectively, while Kelsie Rainone (Plainville, Mass.) put up a time of 29:03 to finish at place 186. Ariana Boostrom (Rockland, Mass.) rounded out the Colonel runners in place 192 with a time of 29:56.

Both Covillion and Rainone turned in their fourth-best paces of the season to date.

The Colonels will enjoy an off week before the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship Meet on Saturday, November 2. The meet will be hosted by Roger Williams and take place at Colt State Park. The starting time has yet to be announced.
