Women’s Cross Country Runs Four at UNE Invitational

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Curry College women's cross country team brought four runners to the University of New England Invitational on Saturday morning. Though five runners are needed to place, the Colonel runners turned in some encouraging results.

Leading the team was Susan Hogan (Weymouth, Mass.), who placed 100th with a time of 24:51. Next for the Colonels was Karina Murcia (Culver City, Calif.), placing at 113 with a 26:26 time. Next for Curry was Kelsie Rainone (Plainville, Mass.), whose 28:20 time put her at spot 121. At place 124 was Ariana Boostrom (Rockland, Mass.), who turned in a time of 28:39. Murcia, Rainone, and Boostrom each turned in faster times than their results in the first meet of the season.

Curry will return to the course on Saturday, September 21 for the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.
