Three Colonels Receive CCC Weekly Honors; Johnson & Stott Also Named as ECAC Players of the Week

MILTON, Mass. - Sophomore goalkeeper Dan Johnson (Easton, Conn.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference and ECAC Division III New England Defensive Player of the Week.  Johnson tallied a shutout with a 1-0 victory over Union College in the championship game of the MCLA CIAO Classic tournament. Earlier in the tournament, he posted five saves in a 2-1 victory over MCLA. Earlier in the week, Johnson made six saves in the Colonels' 3-1 triumph over Newbury.

Sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Stott (Dartmouth, Mass.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference and ECAC Division III New England Defensive Player of the Week.  Stott crafted a 0.00 GAA and gathered 17 saves on the week.  Stott earned three shutouts and helped the Colonels' to a 3-0 start on the season. Her top performance was a seven-save effort in Curry's 1-0 victory over Rhode Island College.

Curry College freshman ElizaMarie Quinn-Alger (Harwinton, Conn.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week.  Quinn-Alger turned in a second-place in the 3-runner Lt. Travis J. Fuller Invitational hosted by Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Quinn-Alger was just 49 seconds behind the medalist and crossed the finish line 20 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher.  Her performance led the Colonels to the team title.
