Women's Volleyball Sweeps Husson, 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-16)

BANGOR, Maine – The Curry College women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-16) victory over Husson University on Saturday afternoon in non-conference play at the Newman Gym.

The Colonels improved to 3-7 overall. The Eagles dropped to 1-8 overall with the loss.

Curry's Lexi Pereira (Attleboro, Mass.) finished with a match-high eight kills. Amanda Wood (Tokyo, Japan) added six kills while Alexis Bell (Salem, Conn.) handed out 27 assists. Shea Mathews (Concord, N.H.) and Pereira contributed a team-high 13 digs apiece.

Kayli Doten (Calais, Maine) led Husson with six kills while Adrienne Beatty (Rochester, N.H.) added a match-high 18 digs. Hanna Hembrow (Milford, N.H.) chipped in with 21 assists and 15 digs.

Curry resumes conference play as they travel to Gordon on Tuesday, September 25 for a match at 7:00 p.m. Husson will next play on Wednesday, September 26 at home against Maine Maritime at 7:00 p.m.
