Women's Volleyball Captures Hard-Fought 3-1 Win at the University of Saint Joseph

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Curry College Women's Volleyball Team battled hard to post a 3-1 win at the University of Saint Joseph on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-18, 25-27, 26-24 and 27-25. The Colonels evened their season record at 8-8 while the Blue Jays fell to 8-7.

Curry was led by sophomore Nicole Rice (Woburn, Mass.) with 19 kills and four blocks. Junior Nicole Grambley (North Attleboro, Mass.) added 15 kills and 12 digs. Junior Alyssa Keeney (Coventry, Conn.) dished out 26 assists to go along with three service aces. Junior Makayla Hughes (Franklin, N.H.) had 13 assists and four service aces. Sophomore Courtney Carroll (Fairhaven, Mass.) led the defense with 27 digs.

The Colonels return to action next Tuesday, October 13, hosting Commonwealth Coast Conferenbce (CCC) rival the University of New England at 6:00 p.m.
