Women's Volleyball Blanks Visiting Mitchell College, 3-0

MILTON, Mass. – Curry College defeated visiting Mitchell College, 3-0, in non-conference women's volleyball action Tuesday night in Milton. The Colonels improved to 6-9 on the season, while the Mariners fell to 1-8.

Curry survived a back-and-forth affair in the first set, outlasting Mitchell 25-21. In the second and third sets, the Colonels maintained a steady lead en route to 25-13 and 25-11 wins, respectively.

Freshman Alyssa Keeney (Coventry, Conn.) recorded a match-high 10 kills. Junior Hannah Robison (Cumberland, R.I.) dished out a team-high 14 assists. Freshman Nicole Grambley (North Attleboro, Mass.) and junior serving specialist Francesca Bollitier (Holbrook, Mass.) had five and four service aces, respectively.

The Mariners were led by senior Gloria Charles (New Haven, Conn.) and sophomore Amanda Garcia (New Britain, Conn.) with six kills apiece. Sophomore Nicole Caminiti (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) recorded a match-high 15 assists.

Curry returns to action on Thursday, hosting visiting UMass Dartmouth for a 6:00 p.m. contest., while Mitchell hosts a tri-match on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
