Women's Volleyball Remains Undefeated After 3-1 Win Over Visiting Anna Maria
MILTON, Mass. – Sophomore Hannah Robison (Cumberland, R.I.) notched match highs in assists (19) and services aces (3), leading undefeated Curry to a 3-1 win over visiting Anna Maria, in college women’s volleyball action Tuesday night in Milton. Set scores were 26-24, 18-25, 25-22 and 25-21. The Colonels improve to 3-0, while the AMCATS fall to 0-3.

Curry took the opening set, 26-24, before losing the second set by seven points (18-25). The Colonels responded with a three-point victory (25-22) in the third set.  Curry then rallied in the fourth set to record a 25-21 match-clinching win. The Colonels trailed in the final set, 13-12, but then reeled off seven-straight points to establish a 19-13 lead. Anna Maria pulled to within two at 19-17 but could not complete the comeback.

The Colonels were led by sophomore Courtney DiBiasio (Coventry, R.I.) with a team-high 11 kills, to go along with 16 digs. Senior Kendra LeMay (Chicopee, Mass.) chipped in with a team-best 17 digs, while Robison contributed with 11 digs.

Senior Sandy Acosta (Lawrence, Mass.) led Anna Maria with a match-high 16 kills, while also recording two solo blocks. Freshman Samantha Parker (Athol, Mass.) added a team-best 14 assists and a match-high 19 digs, while junior Megan Leyton (Eastham, Mass.) chipped in with 12 digs and 12 assists.

Both teams return to action on Thursday, as Curry hosts Bridgewater State at 6:00 p.m., while the AMCATS visit Mass. Maritime for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
