Women's Tennis Falls 9-0 at Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team remained perfect in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Wednesday afternoon as the Gulls picked up a 9-0 victory over Curry College.

Endicott only dropped three games in doubles as the No. 2 and No. 3 positions won by identical 8-0 scores to get the match started. Freshmen Hayley Barnett (Marlboro, N.J.) and Margot Andreasen (Portland, Maine) went on to complete the sweep for the Gulls with an 8-3 victory over junior Kayla Prete (Orange, Conn.) and senior Kimberly Love (Windsor Locks, Conn.) at No. 1.

In singles play, sophomore Maxine Bergstein (Hingham, Mass.) made the score 4-0 in favor of the Blue and Green with a quick 6-0, 6-0 triumph against Curry senior Hannah Erickson (Mount Desert, Maine) at No. 3, while freshmen Lauren Rahr (Waterford, Conn.) locked up the win with a 6-0, 6-0 decision in the No. 5 slot over Rosaria Robidoux (Agawam, Mass.).

Endicott (5-1, 4-0 CCC) hosts Salem State in a non-conference match on the South Campus Courts this Friday at 3 p.m. Curry (2-4, 0-3) welcomes Mount Ida to its campus tomorrow at 3 p.m. (Match recap courtesy of Endicott Sports Information)
