Curry Women's Soccer Strong For Abby

Curry Women's Soccer Strong For Abby

MILTON, Mass.- The Curry Women's Soccer team has been Olivia Strong since Coach Tassinari's daughter Olivia was diagnosed with meduloblastoma on February 18th.  On Saturday October 1st the team was also Strong For Abby.

Abby (9) and Lily Roxo (13) captured the hearts of New England when they sung a duet on the 2016 NESN/WEEI Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon. The connection and similarities between Olivia and Abby are amazing. Both were diagnosed with a brain tumor the same day. They both had surgery the same day at Children's Hospital, and both had the same neurosurgeon Dr. Liliana Goumnerova. Abby, Lily, and their parents Jenna and Gus were special guests for Curry's game against Roger Williams earlier this month.
Prior to the game Coach Taz presented Abby and Lily with autographed game jerseys, and parents Jenna and Gus with Curry sweatshirts. Abby and Lily then sung and amazing rendition of the national anthem. At halftime, Abby was presented with a Strong 4 Abby team poster.

Since Abby's surgery, she's gone through chemotherapy and is responding well to treatment.
