Madden to Join Women's Coaching Staff

After spending three years as the assistant coach with the Curry Men, Mike Madden has switched over to join the Coach Tassinari's staff with the Women's Team.

Madden is entering his 16th season as the boys varsity soccer coach at Milton High School.  In addition, he is currently the President of the Eastern Mass Boys Soccer Association, Coaching Director of the Boston Rams, and works full-time for Verizon. He was the Associate Head Coach for the Boston Rams Men's PDL team from 2012-2015 and was a member of the advisory board for the Boston Breakers. His son Ryan was a defender for the Curry Men's Soccer team from 2013-15, and his daughter Savannah is expected to play for the Curry Women starting in 2017.

"Having Mike join my coaching staff is huge for the program", says 5th year Coach Jason Tassinari. "He has an extremely high soccer IQ, a tremendous work rate, great communication skills, and a charismatic and energetic personality that is infectious.  He is also very passionate about Curry Soccer and the Milton community which is very important."

Mike will be joining current assistant coaches Paul Maloney (5th year), Jenna Szostak (2nd year), Rob Leary (2nd year) and GK coach Graig Murphy (1st year).

The Curry women's team is coming off its most successful season in recent history, finishing the 2015 season with a record of 13-6-2.  The team qualified for the CCC tourney as well as the ECAC tourney, losing in penalty kicks 2-1 to Elms in the quarter finals.

Madden currently resides in Milton with his wife Heidi, three daughters and two sons.
