Freshman Haley Carignan (Scarborough, Maine) took on Curry defender Tiana Stanton (Springfield, Mass.) and with one swift move was able to beat her and one-time the ball past Hardy who attempted to make the diving save.

Curry had just one shot which landed on net and three fouls.  Roger Williams had 19 shots, 12 on net and one foul.

The Hawks continued their aggressive play and with the help of junior goaltender Stephanie Jacques (Burlington, Vt.), who was solid between the pipes, kept the Colonels scoreless.  Roger Williams once again outshot Curry in the final 45 minutes, 11-7.  The Hawks were able to earn one more for their third and final goal of the game at the 62:16 minute mark.  Carignan was able to make her way through the Colonels’ defense and sent a pass to teammate, sophomore Kristen Tetreault (Tolland, Conn.), who was in front of the goal and sent the ball in the lower left side of the net.  The Colonels' fought hard in the last ten minutes, but were unable to post one of their own and took the 3-0 loss.
