O'Byrne enters her fourth year as the Head Coach of the Curry College women's lacrosse program in 2021-22.

In 2021, O'Byrne's squad 2-6 overall (2-6 CCC). Three of her student-athletes were named to All-Conference teams while eight picked up Academic All-Conference honors. 

In the COVID-19 pandemic-shortened season of 2020, the Colonels finished with an overall record of 1-3. The team ranked second in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in successful clears (68) and turned in the fewest losses (3) and fewest goals allowed (58) in a season in program history.

She helped engineer a six-win turnaround in her first season, posting a 10-8 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in 2019. The team qualified for the conference tournament as the number four seed, earning a home game. Two of her student-athletes earned All-Conference recognition in junior Abby Dubel (Wolfeboro, N.H.) on the Second Team and sophomore Allie Wysocki (Agawam, Mass.) on the Third Team.   

O'Byrne spent the prior year to coming to Curry as the head coach of the Newbury College women's lacrosse program. In her only season with the Nighthawks, O'Byrne guided the squad to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Quarterfinals.

 During her time at Newbury, O'Byrne was involved in all facets of team operations: practice implementation, budget management, and fundraising efforts, promoting the academic success of student-athletes through the facilitation of study hall hours, executing game preparation by scouting opponents, film analysis and strategy application. Additionally, O'Byrne was responsible for recruiting, working closely with admissions, and also served as game management for soccer, basketball, and volleyball home contests. Prior to her stop at Newbury, O'Byrne served as an assistant coach for the Wheelock College from August 2015 through November 2017.

O'Byrne received a bachelor's degree in political science and government with a minor in biological studies from Mount Holyoke College in 2013. While at MHC, she was a four-year member of the field hockey program. She also served as the captain of the field hockey team and was the Health and Wellness Chair on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Currently, she has serves as an Assistant Property Manager for BioMed Realty in Cambridge, Mass. O'Byrne currently resides in Boston.
