Donnelly, Dubel, and Roy Earn All-CCC Acclaim

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2018 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams and three Curry College student-athletes were recognized. Freshman Colleen Donnelly (Atkinson, N.H.) was named Second Team All-CCC while sophomores Abby Dubel (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and Abigail Roy (Nashua, N.H.) earned Third Team nods.

Donnelly played in 14 of 15 games, starting in all of them in her freshman campaign. She tallied three goals, 42 ground balls, and 17 caused turnovers, ranking third on the team and 20th in the CCC in that category.

Dubel lands on the Third Team for the second consecutive year after she played in and started all 15 games this season. The Wolfeboro, N.H. native tallied 33 goals and nine assists for 42 points to lead the team and place 19th in the conference for points. Additionally, she went 13-for-34 on free position shots and won 90 draw controls. Defensively, Dubel scooped up 64 groundballs and caused 46 turnovers, which ranked second in the CCC.

Roy rounds out Curry's All-Conference selections, joining Dubel on the Third Team. Roy played in and started all 15 games this season, recording 14 points on eight goals and six assists. On the defensive side of the ball, she picked up 31 groundballs and caused 34 turnovers, placing her fourth in the conference. Additionally, Roy won 33 draw controls.
