Women's Lacrosse Falls to Commonwealth Coast Conference Foe Endicott, 21-1

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College women's lacrosse team fell to Endicott College, 21-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Walter M. Katz Field.  The loss drops the Colonels to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the CCC.  With the win, the Gulls improve to 10-3 on the season and 6-0 in conference play.

The Gulls got scores from eight different players.  Endicott was led by six-point efforts from sophomore Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.) who tallied six goals and junior Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.) who netted five goals and had an assist.  Sophomore Alex Fitzgerald (Guilford, Conn.) finished with four points on two goals and two helpers.  Junior Ali Campbell (Lakeville, Mass.) and senior Olivia Larson (Cheshire, Conn.) each had three points.  Campbell had a tally and two helpers while Larson netted two and dished in an assist.  Larson also tied for a game-high four draw controls.  Sophomore Meghan Dutchyshyn (Cheshire, Conn.) and freshman Gabriel Prisco (West Haven, Conn.) each had two points with Dutchyshyn scoring two goals and Prisco earning a goal and an assist.  Prisco also won four draw controls.  Rounding out the scoring for Endicott was freshman Mollie Manning (Hull, Mass.) who had one score. 

For the Colonels, the lone goal was scored by sophomore Leona Stevens (Kingston, Mass.) on a free position.  Sophomores Courtney Lima (New Bedford, Mass.) and Abigail Roy (Nashua, N.H.) each had two draw controls.  Defensively junior Harper Meakin (Marblehead, Mass.) and sophomore Kayla Merritt (Attleboro, Mass.) each caused two turnovers.

The Colonels freshman goalkeeper Amy Collard (Lakeville, Mass.) made 11 saves in net in the loss. The Gulls junior goalkeeper Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) recorded seven stops in the win.

Curry is next in action on Wednesday, April 18 as they travel to the University of New England for a Commonwealth Coast Conference game at 7:00 p.m.  Endicott is also next in action on Wednesday, April 18 as they host Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Wentworth in a 7:00p.m. game start.
