BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team wrapped up the regular-season home slate with an 18-2 win over the visiting Curry College Colonels Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium to remain unbeaten through seven Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contests.

Curry got on the board first, as Kelly Parker (Branford, Conn.) notched her first of two tallies of the afternoon at the 27:35 mark.

Endicott answered back with senior attack Meghan Lennon's (Canton, Mass.) unassisted strike and momentum swung back in the Gulls' favor to build a 5-1 advantage over the next five minutes.

Parker cut the deficit to 5-2 with 15:26 remaining in the opening half before it was all Endicott the rest of the way with a 14-2 lead at halftime. The Gulls never looked back as a combined 12 unanswered goals sealed the deal.

Lennon led the Gulls with seven points on four goals (tied for game-high) and a game-high three assists, while senior midfielder Emily Whitney (Rye, N.H.) chipped in four goals, one helper, a team-high three ground balls, and three caused turnovers (tied for game-high) en route to the team's eighth straight victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

Endicott leads the all-time series, 18-3 (10-2 at home) against Curry. The Gulls also won the most recent meeting before today with a 10-9 road victory last season on April 6, 2016.

Endicott has scored 205 goals this season, with 134 coming in conference play.

The Gulls have outscored their opponents, 151-48, on this current eight-game win streak.

Whitney has now scored at least four goals in each of the Gulls' past six games.

Endicott came into the game ranked ninth in the country in assists per game (8.08) and had 10 today.

Endicott came into the game ranked 10th in the country in points per game (22.46) to lead the conference and registered 28 today.

Lennon is now third in the conference in assists (24) and tied for third with Curry's Parker in points (62).

Freshman midfielder Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.) added one assist and won a game-high nine draw controls as Endicott dominated on the draw, 18-4.

Sophomore goalkeeper Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) improved to 7-0 in goal as she stopped nine shots and matched the team's season-low with just two goals allowed.

FOR THE COLONELS

The Colonels saw their season-long two-game win streak come to an end.

Parker came into the game tied for the conference lead with the most goals scored (44) and was third in points (60) and added to those totals with a pair of goals today to move into third in goals (46) and tied for third in points (62).

Senior goalkeeper Rachel Smith (Arlington, Mass.) is fourth in the conference in saves (114) as she made six today, but fell to 7-8 on the season in cage.

Senior midfielder Malorie Knowlton (Norfolk, Mass.) leads the conference in caused turnovers (61) as she matched Endicott's Whitney with three today for a game-high.

Freshman midfielder Abby Dubel (Wolfeboro, N.H.) scooped up a game-best seven ground balls.

Endicott (11-3, 7-0 CCC) travels across town to Wenham, Mass. to close out the regular season at Gordon on Tuesday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m.
