MILTON, Mass. - Curry College senior defender Mel Brickey (Chelmsford, Mass.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week.  Brickey had a solid game defensively for the Colonels, as she led her team with six caused turnovers in a tough 8-6 loss to Emerson. Brickey also won seven of her team's 11 total draw controls. Offensively, the defender netted a goal and chipped in with an assist for two points.
