Women's Lacrosse Claims #4 Seed in ECAC Tournament

CENTERVILLE, Mass. -- After finishing the regular-season with a 14-5 record, Western New England University was selected as the No. 1 seed in the 2013 ECAC Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The tournament is a five-team field with one quarterfinal game as well as semifinal and championship rounds.

In the first-round contest on Wednesday, May 8, Fourth seed Curry College (14-5) will host fifth seed Worcester State University (12-5) at 6:00 p.m. The winner of this game will advance to the semifinal round to take on Western New England.

The first-round winner will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, May 11 at Western New England.  Host school Western New England (14-5) will face the winner of Curry/Worcester State at 4:00 p.m. in one semifinal, and Mount Holyoke (14-5) will play University of Southern Maine (12-7) at 1:00 p.m. in the other semifinal.  The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m. for the championship.
