The 2021-22 season is Cotter’s 14th overall as a member of the Colonels’ staff, and her eighth as associate head coach. In 1975, she attended and played basketball at Rosary Academy in Watertown, Mass. From 1975-1978, she attended and played basketball at Northeastern University. From 1979-1981, she attended and played basketball at Hellenic College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

Cotter has held numerous basketball coaching positions since 2000, with organizations such as Massachusetts Bay State Games, AAU, Stoughton Youth Athletic Council (STOYAC), Stoughton High School, Trinity Catholic High School, Stonehill College, and Notre Dame Academy. She most recently served as girls’ varsity co-coach at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, Mass. Cotter’s teams at Archbishop Williams won Division 3 State Championships in 2007 and 2008.

Cotter and her husband Gerry have been married for more than 30 years and currently reside in Stoughton, Mass. They have three children: Patra, Christine, and Daniel.
