SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Curry College freshman Peyton Perine (Fairfax, Va.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week for the sport of women's basketball. Of the 15 Rookie of the Week awards this season, Perine captured 10 of them. 

Perine wrapped up her freshman campaign with a solid showing for the Colonels in the CCC Tournament. Perine averaged 15.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. She began the week with eight points and eight rebounds in a 64-61 win over higher-seeded Roger Williams in the CCC Quarterfinals. She followed that up with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Colonels fell to top-seeded Endicott in the semifinal round.

Perine and Curry finished the season with a 15-12 overall record and a 10-6 mark in the CCC.
