BIDDEFORD, Maine – Five players reached double figures, led by Elyssa Nicholas with a season-high 19, as the University of New England women's basketball team picked up a 69-49 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victory on Tuesday evening (Feb. 13) at the Harold Alfond Forum.

Winners of six straight, the Nor'easters (19-5, 15-2 CCC) have captured the last 19 meetings versus the Colonels (11-13, 7-10 CCC).

Sam MacDonald did all of her scoring before the midway break, finishing with 11 points, five boards, and five assists. Jocelyn Chaput posted a double-double of 11 points and 11 caroms, leading UNE's 41-20 effort on the glass.

The Colonels led by five early on, but a 15-4 stretch in the 2nd frame swung the Nor'easters in front (30-22). The hosts then notched 12 of the initial 17 coming out of halftime to push the margin into double digits for good (42-30).
