DANBURY, Conn. – Sophomore Emily Irwin (Billerica, Mass.) has been named an ECAC First Team All-Star, as announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon. Last month, she was named a First Team All-Conference selection by the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Irwin played in 24 games, making 23 starts while averaging a team-high 16.2, 7.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.4 steals per game, all of which led the team. She finished the regular season ranked second in the conference in points per game, fifth in rebounds per game, first in steals per game and tied for first in assists per game.

She was named the CCC Player of the Week once this season after she tied program records in both points per game (36) and made free throws (16) in a 58-55 overtime victory over Gordon on Jan. 31.

Irwin helped Curry finish the regular season with a 10-15 overall record, including 8-10 in the CCC. The Colonels qualified for the conference tournament as the sixth seed and were eliminated by three seed Western New England in the quarterfinals.
