Curry Women's Basketball Topped by Framingham State in Season Opener

MILTON, Mass. –The Curry College Women's Basketball team suffered a 75-30 setback to Framingham State in the season opener at the Katz Gymnasium on Tuesday night.  The win improves the Rams to 1-0 while the loss drops the Colonels to 0-1.

The Rams held a 12-9 edge after the first quarter and then never looked back. They held Curry to single digits in scoring in every quarter. Framingham State then took a 25-13 lead into the intermission at the first half.  

The Rams continued their strong play in the second half and held the Colonels to just 17 points. Erica Ulrich paced Curry in scoring while freshman Caroline Kilduff (Rockland, Mass.) led Colonels with three rebounds.

Curry will next play on Saturday when they host Pine Manor at 3:00 p.m. in the Curry College Tip-Off Tournament.  Framingham State will play in the Wheaton College Tip-Off Tournament and will battle Newbury in a 7:30 p.m. contest.
