MILTON, Mass. – Curry College freshman Emily Irwin (Billerica, Mass.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week.  Irwin helped Curry to a 2-0 week against conference opponents. The first-year guard averaged 10.5 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.5 rebounds this week. She started off on Wednesday (Jan. 27) scoring nine points and dishing out five assists in a 64-63 win over Eastern Nazarene. She followed that up with a 12-point game in another narrow victory, a 55-53 result against Wentworth on Saturday (Jan. 30). She also grabbed six rebounds, all on the offensive glass, and handed out seven assists in that game.
