Tarkanian wrapped up her third season on the softball coaching staff as the Pitching Coach after the COVID-19 pandemic-shortened 2020 season.

During her four-year playing career, she was a four-time All-Conference performer. She was named the Most Valuable Player in 1999 and 2000 in addition to bringing home the Rookie of the Year award in 1997.

Following her career at Curry, she remained in the game as she served as the head coach of the JV softball team at Hanover High School from 2011 through 2016.

She was inducted into the Curry College Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2009 and the Middleboro High School Hall of Fame in November of 2014.

Tarkanian obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree from Curry in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education in 2000. She went on to get her Masters of Education at Cambridge College.

Tarkanian served as a Special Education Classroom Teacher in Randolph from 2004-07 and a Behavioral/Adjustment Substantially Separate Instruction Teacher in Brockton during the 2007-2008 school year.

Tarkanian currently works at Hanover High School as a Special Education Teacher, a position she has held since 2008. In addition to teaching, she gives private pitching lessons to all ages.
