Men's Tennis Knocked Off 9-0 by Visiting CCC Rival Endicott

MILTON, Mass. – Visiting Endicott College blanked Curry, 9-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's tennis action Thursday afternoon in Milton. With the victory, the Gulls improve to 7-5 overall and 5-0 in league play. The Colonels slip to 2-12 overall and 1-5 in CCC action.

The visitors opened by sweeping all three doubles matches. Senior Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) and sophomore Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) defeated sophomore Toma Blatchford (Montreal, Quebec) and freshman Valvel Temin (Swampscott, Mass.), 8-3, at #1; junior classmates Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) and Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) blanked junior classmates Joe Berger (Middleboro, Mass.) and Eric Helberg (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), 8-0, at #2; and junior Jason Tarpey (Burlington, Mass.) and senior Keller Dinan (Monterey, Mass.) took care of freshman Cory Flax (Potomac, Md.) and senior Nicholas Ironside (Wellesley, Mass.), 8-3, at #3.

Singles went the same way for Endicott, with Ross outpacing Blatchford, 6-2, 6-0, at #1; Forance handling Temin, 6-1, 6-1, at #2; Dolph making quick work of Berger, 6-0, 6-0, at #3; freshman Sean McAndrews (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) blanking senior Lucas Donaway (Foxboro, Mass.), 6-0, 6-0, at #4; junior Justin Warshavsky (East Hartford, Conn.) putting away Hellberg, 6-3, 6-2, at #5; and sophomore Clay Arnold (Ivoryton, Conn.) defeating Flax, 6-0, 6-0, at #6.

Endicott is back in action on Friday, hosting CCC foe Roger Williams at 3:30 p.m. Curry resumes play on April 21st, hosting league rival Gordon at 4:00 p.m.
