MILTON, Mass. - April 8-14 is NCAA Division III Week, recognizing the athletic and academic accomplishments of Division III Student-Athletes. Each day this week, we recognize a senior student-athlete on one of Curry College's five varsity spring sports teams.

Tyler Collins, Senior, 5-8, 165, Oyster Bay, N.Y.

2013: Team Captain…Plays at #1 singles and #1 doubles.

2012: Team Captain…Played at #1 singles and #1 doubles…Named as team’s Most Valuable Player.

2011: Played at #4 singles and #1 doubles…Named as team’s Most Improved Player.

2010: Saw limited playing time during freshman season.

High School: Collins is a 2009 graduate of Oyster Bay High School…Played tennis for one year, and fenced for four years for Coach John Bruckner…Two-year fencing team captain…Compiled an overall bout record of 26-3…Earned All-Long Island First Team honors…Was the #1 foil in Nassau County in 2008…Was the fencing squad’s Most Improved Player in 2008 and Most Valuable Player in 2009…Was the tennis team’s Most Improved Player in 2009.
