MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College Men's Soccer team enters the 2017 coming off a 2016 campaign that saw them earn a trip to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) quarterfinals. The squad finished 2016 with a 6-13-1 overall record with a 2-6-1 mark in the CCC. The Colonels have high expectations for this coming season with a talented core of returners coming back in addition to a solid group of newcomers that will look to make an immediate impact.

Ben Silvia (Dartmouth, Mass.) – One of three senior captains. He led the team in goals (5), assists (2), points (12), and shots (47). He is a creative and crafty 1-on-1 player.
Eric Miller (Hanover, Mass.) – The second of three senior captain. He is a commanding defender with good aerials skills and a tough, physical player.
Giancarlo Orsini (Watertown, Conn.) – The final of three senior captains. Orsini has been a four year starter and brings hardnosed defense to the field. He has the ability to get forward and join the attack.
Christian Mancini (Woodbury,Conn.) – He is a senior midfielder who is a very clean and solid player with a great work rate.
Dave Stapleton (North Easton, Mass.) – He is a senior midfielder who is creative and crafty with solid vision and instincts.

Alejandro Winsor (Wakefield, Mass.) – This freshman is calm and composed on the ball in addition to being a smart, creative player.
Diego Vargas (McLean, Va.) – This sophomore transfer will possesses quickness and strength at the midfield position.
Dylan Griffin (Hornell, N.Y.) – This freshman is a big and strong goalkeeper with good reactions and shot stopping ability.

We have a great returning group of players who are hungry for respect and to make a strong push for a top spot. We also have a talented incoming class that will complement the returners. The squad is striving for a top four finish in the conference this fall.

Perennial power Endicott, Gordon, Wentworth who all had very strong teams last season.
Salve Regina, Western New England, Nichols, Roger Williams are always battles and matches we look forward to.

Alvaro Amaral is a new assistant coach this season. He has a great technical and tactical mind for the game with loads of club, college and professional soccer experience. He will provide great insights and training tactics.
Sam Hunter returns as a volunteer former captain at Union who organizes and trains a very strong defensive unit.
Taylor Bracken returns to work with the goalkeepers and provide them with top notch individual and team training.
Former player Rolando Montero will join the staff and provide scouting, recruiting, and his experiences as a player in our program.
