Men's Soccer Claims Seventh Seed in CCC Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team will enter the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament as the No. 1-seed for the second year in a row after finishing 8-1 (11-5-2 overall) in CCC play.

The Gulls will look to improve on last year's result when they finished as the CCC Tournament runner-up after a 2-0 loss to Gordon in the Championship match.

Wentworth earns the second seed with a 7-1-1 (11-3-4 overall) CCC record.

Defending champion Gordon will enter this year's bracket as the No. 3-seed after finishing 6-2-1 (11-4-1 overall) in league play, while Western New England earns the No. 4-seed at 6-3 (7-9 overall).

The top four seeds will all host quarterfinal matches on Saturday, Oct. 29. Endicott draws No. 8-seed Eastern Nazarene at 4:30 p.m., Wentworth hosts No. 7-seed Curry at noon, Gordon matches up with No. 6-seed Nichols at 1 p.m., and Western New England faces No. 5-seed Roger Williams at noon.

The winners of the quarterfinal matches will meet in the semifinal round on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The winner of the Endicott-Eastern Nazarene match will play the winner of Western New England-Roger Williams and the Wentworth-Curry winner will play the Gordon-Nichols winner.

The two semifinal winners will face off in the CCC Men's Soccer Championship match which takes place on Saturday, Nov. 5. The CCC Tournament Champion will receive the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA DIII Men's Soccer Championship.
