Curry's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee "Pays It Forward"

MILTON, Mass. - On Wednesday November 19members of the Curry College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) decided to spread some good will and smiles on campus. The SAAC Committee, comprised of athletes from teams all across campus, ran a "Pay It Forward" Campaign.

In the morning, student-athletes served free Dunkin Donuts coffee and munchkins in the Hafer Academic Building to the delight of many faculty, staff and students. The message was simple: "Have a great day and do something nice for someone else today."

In the afternoon, a second group of student-athletes handed out single flowers to people on campus, simply hoping to brighten someone's day. SAAC members also held open doors across campus for the Curry community.

Curry SAAC president Chris Mason said "It's a simple idea and act to make someone's day better. Hopefully it was contagious and people were paying it forward."

The Curry College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is headed by Men's Soccer Coach Peter Mendel and includes team representatives from all varsity sports on campus.
