MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's lacrosse team earned a 15-6 victory over Commonwealth Coast Conference foe University of New England Wednesday night in its regular season finale at Walter M. Katz Field.

With the win, Curry clinches a spot in the CCC Tournament as the seventh seed. They will travel to second-seeded Endicott College for the conference quarterfinal on Saturday for a 1 p.m. faceoff in Beverly.

Curry came out of the gates flying, outscoring the Nor'easters 5-0 in the opening quarter. Freshman Tim Sullivan (East Walpole, Mass.) scored a trio of goals in the period, with sophomore Sawyer Allen (Sutton, Mass.) and freshman Brody Dalzell (Wrentham, Mass.) scoring once.

Each team found the back of the net twice in the second quarter as Curry took a 7-2 lead into the break. Josh Hunter (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and Stephen Stackhouse (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) scored the Curry goals in quarter number two.

The hosts continued to pull away in the third, outscoring UNE 3-1 to go to the fourth ahead by seven. Sullivan scored twice in the third, which junior Robbie Tartaglia (Wrentham, Mass.) scoring once.

Curry scored five goals in the fourth to hold off squash any hopes for a comeback bid by the Nor'easters. Sullivan scored three more times to finish the evening with eight goals, while sophomores Pat Modoono (Billerica, Mass.) and Connor Bryant (Methuen, Mass.) each added their first goals of the evening to seal the win.

Sullivan's eight goals matched a Curry single-game program record. Previously, the only other Colonels to score eight goals in a single game were Rick Walsh against Franklin Pierce in 1998 and Matt Serra against Nichols in 2016.

Earning the win between the pipes for Curry was sophomore Evan Falandys (Leominster, Mass.), who stopped 13 of 17 shots faced in just over 49 minutes of action.

The Colonels conclude the regular season with an overall record of 5-11 and a CCC mark of 2-6.
