MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College men's lacrosse team enters the 2018 campaign coming off a 2017 season which saw them finish with a 10-9 overall record with a 3-5 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The program qualified for the CCC Tournament for the first time and defeated Roger Williams in the quarterfinals, advancing to the conference tournament semifinals. The 2018 Colonels will look to a strong group of upperclassmen along with talented newcomers to take the program to the next level this season.

Players To Watch On Your Team
The leadership of senior captain Jack Boillotat (Hanover, N.H.) has already shown through in the early stages of the preseason. We are expecting a big impact from him on and off the field this year.
The three headed face-off monster of Junior Co-Captain Zach White (Milford, Conn.) (2017 All-CCC Third Team Selection), Dylan Cromwell (Fairhaven, Mass.), and Matt Lemay (Raynham, Mass.) gives us some great options based on matchups at the face-off dot.
Look for sophomores Harrison Fallon (Wrentham, Mass.) and Sean Ford (Barnstable, Mass.) to have an impact this spring in special teams and to push for serious minutes.
Top Returning Players
Starting attack group: Devin Newell (Medford, Mass.) (2017 All-CCC Third Team Selection), Matt Serra (Haverhill, Mass.), and Tom Cashin (Boxford, Mass.). The chemistry that these three have developed over the past couple seasons should pay huge dividends this spring.
Similarly, our top midfield line of MJ Urbano (Wakefield, Mass.) (2017 All-CCC Third Team Selection), Jake Stebbins (Colchester, Vt.), and Andrew DeLeary (Wakefield, Mass.) started to really gel last spring and look to continue to improve together in 2018.
On the defensive side of the ball, seniors Chris Bronander (Glen Ridge, N.J.) and Chris McGreevy (Rocky Point, N.Y.) are poised for a great 2018 campaign. Junior long stick midfielder Cam Gainey (Truro, Mass.) is looking to continue improving on a great season last year.
Junior goalie Josh Teller (Milford, Conn.) returns as the elder statesman between the pipes. He is looking to spearhead the competition between three great goaltenders for the starting job in net.
Top Newcomers
Goalie Jake Sangiovanni (Centerport, N.Y.), midfielder Matt Scahill (Gales Ferry, Conn.), and long stick midfielder Clinton Wilson (Freehold, N.J.) have a great opportunity for fight for time this season in their first year of college lacrosse.
Expectations For Season
The 2018 Colonels are looking to build on last year's season that saw them in the conference playoffs for the first time as a program. In the tournament they also earned this first playoff victory as a program, advancing to the conference semi-finals. Beefing up the non-conference portion of the schedule with the addition of some new opponents should help in the preparation for the tough league schedule in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The 2018 'Nels are looking to get back to post season play this spring for back to back years.
Who in League To Look For
The parity in the CCC is as strong as it has ever been. Historically strong teams like Western New England, Endicott, and Roger Williams will be tough opponents this spring, as well as a battle tested University of New England squad. Top to bottom, the CCC is becoming one of the strongest leagues in the northeast region of Division III men's lacrosse.
The Colonels get underway on Wednesday, February 28 with a road contest at Johnson & Wales at 4:00 p.m.
