CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On Sunday, September 24 the Curry men's lacrosse team volunteered in a variety of roles at the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Cambridge, Mass. for the second year in a row.  The student-athletes helped with registration, making commemorative buttons and magnets, and gathered signatures to go to local members of Congress to make them aware of the continued need to fund research towards a cure for Alzheimer's.

"The walk raised over 1.1 million dollars in an effort to further fund research," said Head Coach Tim Murphy. "Walkers from all across New England came to participate in the event, walking a course of either 1.5 or 3.5 miles. It was a great day of community support and engagement for the young men of our program".

Next weekend the men's lacrosse student-athletes will participate in their third event of the fall.  This time the team will be doing the fundraising and walking at the Greater Boston Autism Speaks Walk on Sunday, October 15.  Team members have individual fundraising pages through the Autism Speaks web page.  Be sure to find your favorite Colonel to help contribute to the event!
