Men’s Lacrosse Team Volunteers at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

SOUTH BOSTON, Mass. – For the second year in a row the Curry Men's Lacrosse Team volunteered at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this past Sunday, September 29th.  A group of more than 30 members of the team showed up at Moakley Park in South Boston at 5:30 a.m. to help in a number of roles for the morning.

The team was split up into four groups; registration, bag check, information providers, and parking.  Everyone was able to lend a hand with various jobs from collecting money at parking, to helping register new race participants on the personal laptops that they brought with them.  When their volunteer efforts were done, they lined the fence at the finish line to cheer on and encourage everyone as they crossed.

Overall the day was a huge success and team members are already looking forward to partnering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation next fall for the third consecutive year.
