Curry Lacrosse Teams Volunteer for the Milton Foundation for Education

MILTON, Mass. – When asked for volunteers at the Milton Foundation for Education – Monster Dash 5K Race and Fun Run, the Curry College women’s and men’s lacrosse teams jumped at the opportunity.  Both programs were looking to get involved with the Milton community from the start of the academic year.  The Curry men’s and women’s lacrosse programs have put an extra emphasis on academics this year, so tying into the Milton Foundation for Education made perfect sense.

On October 28, Colonels’ student-athletes completed a variety of tasks throughout the Monster Dash.  Whether it was working at the registration table, lifting equipment, helping with a jeep raffle, or just cheering at the finish line, the Curry lacrosse players were willing to give up a Sunday morning to help in whatever way they could.

Margaret Eberhardt, president of the Milton Foundation for Education, had this to say about the Curry lacrosse programs’ participation:  “The students were terrific!!! They had a great time, while being a big help, and they just added to the overall joy of the day.”

It ended up being a great day of service for both programs, and both are looking forward to helping out again at next year’s race.
