Hockey Prepares to Depart for European Tour

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College men's ice hockey team departs for Europe on January 9th for a historic team trip. The team will compete against professional teams in Hungary and Slovakia while taking in the cultural experience in Budapest, Hungary, Bratislava, Slovakia, and Vienna, Austria.

Here is what Head Coach TJ Manastersky had to say about the opportunity:

"This trip will be a once in a lifetime experience. This will connect our players with each other and with our program on a deeper level for the rest of their lives. We are excited to take an open mind and learn about the cultures we are visiting. It is unique that our seven European players have the chance to play for Curry College in Europe and two of them will play in their hometowns: Zoltan Eross is from Budapest, Hungary and Vladimir Cibulka is from Bratislava Slovakia. The trip also serves the purpose of highlighting our players to the professional teams. We currently have three alumni playing professionally in Europe and it would be fantastic to build on this pipeline."

The Colonels will be documenting their trip on their social media accounts. You can follow along with the trip via this media:
